It's less about green skin or unusual greetings ... and more about allowing trees to 'Live Long and Prosper'.
About this Blog Title
This is purely a stream-of conciousness thing. While spending time in the Houston area I noticed an unusually high number of trees with what I call "Volcano Mulching" - a one to two foot high cone of mulch around the trunk. I thought, "Is this 'monkey see monkey do' among uneducated landscape workers or is someone of authority telling them to do it?"
So, if a Vulcanologist studies volcanoes - a VulcanArborist studies the origins of bad landscape maintenance practices. I can only hope to put a mind meld on the right people so that arboricultural practice improves ...
